The truth

The phrase
"we need to"
makes me want to fling myself against a wall.

I never thought I would get to this point but tomorrow we hit the one month mark and I am officially to the point where I don't give a flying pigs arse how this wedding turns out.
Okay.
I care how it turns out.
But I'm so sick of decisions and busy work and calling people and paying people and emailing people and searching for a knick knack and creating a product and finding the most efficient way and I'M JUST READY TO CALL KELLY "HUSBAND"!

...and that is rileys little secret for tonight...

My Ash-hole.

I understand this title may be slightly inappropriate but you must understand it explains our relationship :)
Today is Ashlees birthday.
I just wanted to wish her a REAL BIG happy birthday and do a whole post for her since she's in California so there will be no birthday spankins from me. We'll leave that for Shae ;)
Now here are approximately 72 photos to show my love for her. Enjoy!

We're sexy and we know it.

Sometimes we take cute pictures like this...
And sometimes we take not-so-cute pictures like this.

Ashlees first time to Disney Land! Orrr... "dinneelaaannd"
She is seductive, isn't she?
We made the drive home ONE too many times.

She got married. It was real fun :)

Oh, and... please refer back to this post for some added entertainment.

So now I think it's safe to say..
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ASH-HOLE/SMASHLEE/ASHER SMASHER/BFF!!
Love you long time :)

It's my turn!

I can finally brag about my Valentine :)

Nothing has been holding me back except my usual self getting distracted whenever I sit down at the computer to blog.

First, I have to tell about the surprise I got on the 12th at the family Valentines dinner. Kelly got me an ottoman! Wahoo! The hunt is over. He is a sweetheart. But... there is no picture because I'm not good at remembering those things.

Now I will tell of my other surprise that I got on Valentines day. I have been bummed for the longest time because Valentines fell on a Tuesday and those happen to be our long days at P Dontal (miss-spell intended). However, my Debbie Downer mood about having to stay late on the day of love was all turned around when Niki walked into work and plopped this little bundle of joy in front of me.

Hee hee! He loves me! He took it to Nikis house the night before so that she could bring it to me on Valentines. I'm telling you. He has mastered the art of a sneaky boy. Inside are some "booty huggers" to go under my shorts when I go running. Another hunt to be over!

So this next picture is sideways but get over it. I am not about to start this post over just to rotate it. And if there is a way to do it after it has been uploaded, I haven't figured that out. :)

Look how he put a picture of us in the middle of the cutout! So clever. And inside the card, our story and a love note. And more pictures. And lots of gushy cute-ness that makes me weak in the knees.

After my long day of work, Kel took me to dinner and a movie. Classic but so perfect.
Gosh I got lucky, huh?! Thanks for spoiling me, baby!

I made a quilt for my lover but there are no pictures because it's not quite done.. At least it is all sewn together though. Maybe another post for another day.

Super Grandpa

Remember this cute grandpa? Remember how he got in a really bad 4-wheeler accident and barely made it through? This post is for him.

My grandpa is one amazing man to say the least.
For Christmas, he wrote this letter to all of us. One night last week, while I was waiting for my towels to finish drying, I sat down with a kit kat from my stalking to finally read this cherished letter.
In the letter he told us how grateful he is for each of us and how he knows our prayers for him were answered. He bears his testimony and tells us how much our Savior loves us. He tells of his crazy experiences and his testimony of why he made it through it all to be here today.

Oh. And he was sneaky by putting in some cute smileys and calling our grandma his sweetheart :)

Isn't he cute? Love him!

A little boost for the day

Oh buddy, is that the truth or what? I don't think there is even one of us that can say we've never felt like we're "drowning in life."

Thanks for the picture (and little reminder!) good friend. Even if it was from facebook. :)

PPE

When I was in dental assisting classes, PPE stood for Personal Protective Equipment. For the sake of this post, it stands for Purple People Eater.

Prepare yourself. Following are pictures of my purple bedroom set. Purple.

Remember this post during the summer? Well it's happened. Actually, it happened a while ago. But now it's debuting on my blog. I'm letting you inside my room a little bit. It still needs a lot of work but once it was decided that I would be moving to Omaha, I quit adding decor and hangings and anything else that helps a bedroom feel a little more roomy.

Oh and.. all this cuteness will not be making the trek to Omaha. Sad... but my darling fiance laughs at it. He will NOT sleep in a purple bed. Or store his clothes in a purple dresser. Or even put his alarm clock on a purple night stand. Therefore, I hope to sell it. I just don't think I'll be able to get what I put into it...

Pretend you don't see all those cords. Just look at my bedspread and how stinkin cute it is!

Oh and.. curtains are purchased but I'm saving them for Omaha. I'm lame.

Now you have officially met the Purple People Eater. If you feel that it would be fitting in your home, let me know. Otherwise, it's going to stay at my mothers for a few years, all alone.

As I sit here and eat my 5th cookie of the day, I decide that I want to share a little thought I had.
It's a church thought.
It's Sunday.
It's fitting.
Today in church I was playing with my moms new ipad and decided to read Elder Uchtdorfs Forget Me Not talk. It's such a warming talk and at the end he says..

"Sisters, we love you. It is my prayer and blessing that you will never forget that you are truly precious daughters in God's kingdom..."

Now I just need to remember to come back to that comment on those days that I'm feeling down in the dumps and overwhelmed.
Thank heavens for our amazing church and church leaders!
